Our brochure and advice sheets

Our brochure contains clear and useful information on the issues involved with employing a PA / carer using direct payments and is well suited to both new and experienced employers.

We also have the following three advice sheets that you may wish to make available to the service users in your area:

  • Some points to consider when employing a carer or personal assistant. This advice sheet is aimed at the service user and outlines in clear and simple language to responsibilities involved in being an employer.
  • The National Minimum Wage & The European Working Time Directive. This advice sheet explains these two important paragraphs of the legislation, which apply to all employees working in the UK.
  • Advice for Carers and Personal Assistants. This advice sheets outlines in clear language the rights of being an employee in the UK.
